A cold push of air is setting up the stage for frost and freeze advisories as far south as central Georgia tonight. If you have any tender vegetation, please bring it indoors, as these cold temperatures could very likely kill them.
This cold air is in response to a low pressure system that has pushed offshore, bringing behind it some early-season cold weather. Temperatures behind the low pressure center are 15-20 degrees below average for this time of year.
Temperatures should moderate slightly as we work through the day tomorrow, but should still be a bit chilly for the region.
